The Year 6 leaders have come up with a new initiative to help make winter lunch times more enjoyable.
Over the two winter terms they will be running 'Terrific Tuesday' activities. These began this week with an activity organised by Ruby Acklin. Ruby planned and ran a 'Gratitude Scavenger Hunt' for Years 3 and 4 children. She was helped by Peter Choi and Mia North. It was a great success and a positive way to spend lunch time.
Children were given a list of things to look for and find around our Junior School. This included 'find something that makes you feel happy' and 'use natural items to create a gift for someone'. The sun was shining and there were lots of happy smiles in the playground on Tuesday. It was wonderful to see children appreciating their natural environment and thinking of ways to make others around them feel happy.
We are proud of our Year 6 leaders and the initiative they continue to show.
