Huge appreciation goes out to our Columba Community for the incredible support and positive contribution to Golf Day 2023! Held at the St. Clair Golf Course on Friday 13th October, the day proved to be a wonderful success and the funds raised will be spread across sport development at Columba College from Years 0 - 13.

Friends, families, businesses, community groups, and past students of the College came together on the golf course last Friday with a collective spirit and drive to raise funds for sport at Columba College. 

The annual fundraiser is a highlight on our College calendar and this year's Golf Day proved to be one of our best yet. Every dollar raised goes towards supporting our students to achieve goals in their sporting endeavours, and helps to create a positive movement for College sport across all ages and abilities. A stunning day out on the course helped to create a fabulous atmosphere and friendly vibe across the 36 registered golfing teams, and participants entered in the spirit of competition with the common goals of fundraising and fellowship! 

The Columba College Sports Council would like to extend a massive thank you to all our incredible sponsors and families who donated goods including meat, raffles, auction items, team prizes or simply by offering a helping hand on the day. We cannot run an event like this without your support, and we are humbled by your generosity and willingness to get in behind our Kura.

A special mention needs to go to the Aotearoa Gaming Trust for the grant we received. We wish to thank Steve and his team for their endless support. Gully you were instrumental in helping to get the Columba College Golf Day off the ground a number of years ago, and we are forever grateful for your guidance and support.

To Grant Woodham and his Powerturf Team - The Sports Council is hugely grateful for your advice and proactive efforts in supplying the hole in one prize, and sweetening the deal by offering use of one of Powerturf's state-of-the-art Golf Carts for a full month for the lucky person who got closest to the pin. Grant's knowledge of the game is immense and his generosity in helping to coordinate and run the Golf Day is greatly appreciated. We are very grateful for all Grant's help and look forward to working more closely with Grant and PowerTurf in the future.

Lou Tilyard, with a select group of amazing parents and Sports Council members, all helped to collect prizes, coordinate sponsors, cook BBQ's, package auction prizes, and offer hospitality on the day. Thank you! Much of the success of Golf Day 2023 comes down to efforts.

Congratulations to Andre Shi and his Vault 21 Team on their stellar performance, taking out the top prize of Ist & Best Team on the day. A remarkable overall score exemplifying the excellence on display at our event. We highly value your consistent support of our annual Golf Day.
