Hannah Dominates at ‘King of the South’
Hannah takes home double gold at the 'King of the South' grappling competition held last weekend.
This past weekend, Hannah made a powerful statement at the IBJJF ‘King of the South’ grappling competition held in Queenstown, taking home double gold in both the gi and no-gi divisions.
Her victory is a testament to the immense dedication and hard work she’s put into her training. Over the past several months, Hannah has been consistently training 6-7 days a week, focusing on refining her Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and wrestling skills in preparation for this high-stakes competition.
The ‘King of the South’ is one of the largest grappling events in New Zealand, attracting over 350 athletes from all corners of the country. With so many talented competitors, the divisions were stacked with some of the best grapplers in the country. To walk away with double gold from this event is a major achievement.
Hannah now holds titles in both of the major Jiu Jitsu federations: NZBJJF (New Zealand Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation) and SJJIF (Sports Jiu Jitsu International Federation).
Congratulations to Hannah on this incredible accomplishment.
