Columba's rugby team had a brilliant first game against SOHS on Wednesday and will now face Southland Girls in an interschool game held on Monday 20th June at Kettle Park. The kickoff is at 3:00pm, all spectators are welcome.

Beginning this season with simple yet incredibly effective structures under the guidance of a new coaching staff, Columba has started on a huge high, claiming a big victory against their South Otago opponents. Scoring 11 tries (3 C. Sinclair, 3 L. McCulloch, 2 Pip Eason, Bella Adams, Mia Stout, Maddy Sullivan and converting 5 (4 M.Flutey, 1 L. Joseph) the game finished on a 65-5 scoreline.

We are extremely fortunate to have the mastermind of Riki Flutey in our coaching team and a fantastic forward coach in Nick Anderson to complement the talents of our Columba College rugby players. Big thank you to student-teacher and super supporter Miss Perkins for her help throughout the past six weeks while she has been on placement, she will be missed. 

Get down to Kettle Park on Monday 20th June to support the First XV team playing against Southland Girls - 3:00 pm kick-off.
