On Sunday 20th June, 42 student coaches attended a coaching seminar course to help develop the skills of coaches here at Columba.

We were lucky enough to have Otago Coach Lead, Grant Milne, attend the seminar as our guest speaker to help communicate ways to deal with certain scenarios that often present themselves when you are in a coaching role. It was also a good opportunity for students to compare their own coaching experiences with that of other students and find areas where they might improve individually as coaches. Students were then treated to pizza and refreshments at the conclusion of the seminar. 

We are very lucky to have a total of 79 students that give back to teams here at Columba through coaching. We have very talented athletes and it's great for our coaches to pass on their wisdom to other students coming through the school.
