Well done to our NCEA Scholarship Recipients 2020!
We want to congratulate those students who went the extra mile and prepared for the rigorous NCEA Scholarship examinations in 2020.
To gain Scholarship you are recognised as being in the top 3% of the country in that subject. For Outstanding Scholarship, the top 1%. Not only do students gain academic kudos with this award, it is financially rewarding and is excellent preparation for tertiary study.
Well done indeed to our year 12 students Olivia Charles and Penelope Hare (pictured) who achieved Scholarship English a year early! It is fantastic to see students at this level giving Scholarship a go as it prepares them well in terms of strategy for year 13 even if they are not successful.

We offer regular in-house tutorials for Scholarship in most subjects, which is the most effective way of getting students in a position to succeed. If you are interested in Scholarship in any subject for 2021, please approach your teacher as we are here to support you across the curriculum and can bring in outside tutors too if required. In addition, there are regional tutorials run by the University of Otago in most subjects each year.
