International Week

Mrs C Jones-Sexton —

This year International week was held from 28 June until the 2nd July.

The week begun with a wonderful international performance at assembly on Monday. This was comprised of traditional and modern dances, singing and a wonderful solo instrumental performance. We are extremely proud of the students for producing such a great event.

On Tuesday we held an International themed non-uniform day where students and staff were encouraged to wear traditional costumes or the colours of a flag.

Thursday was International food day where a variety of cuisine was available to purchase during lunchtime from International house. Most of the food was prepared by our students and staff and we received some generous donations from a small number of domestic students.

On Friday the Chapel service had an International theme and our students delivered readings and reflections in their native language.

It has been a very trying time for all our International girls as they have been unable to return home for the past 18 months; therefore, it was a special week for them.
