Miss Turnbull — Oct 15, 2019

Columba College are proud to announce three more students have been named in their respective NZ sides in the sport of Touch.

Year 13 student Brylee More and Year 12 student Olivia Fowler join past NZ Representative and Year 12 student Maia Joseph in the New Zealand Under 18 Girls Touch Team. Along with Year 13 Head Prefect Liv Preston who secured a spot in the New Zealand Under 18 Mixed Team to compete at the 2020 Youth Trans-Tasman against Australia. These 4 Columba stars will be joining Touch Black NZ Representative and Year 13 Deputy Head Prefect Meg Sycamore as she was announced as Captain of the Under 20 Women's Team.

The event will take place over the ditch in Newcastle, Sydney and will be held from January 21 - 27 next year. The Under 20 New Zealand Women's Team is also coached by our Director of Sport and NZ Touch Blacks Captain - Miss Dayna Turnbull.

We had five students trial and all players were selected, which is hugely impressive for our Touch program here at Columba College. These girls will now continue their training with the aim of targeting another strong performance at this years NZSS National Championships after an undefeated season to date. Columba College is beyond proud of your accomplishments and wish you all the very best for your upcoming events.
