The Junior School gets their own worm farm

Earlier this year, the Enviroclub set up a worm farm in the Middle/Senior School side of Oban Street. After learning a bit more about how to care for, feed and look after our worms, the Enviroclub members helped Mrs Cockroft’s Year 1 and 2 class in the Junior School set up their own farm. 

Sonya Taylor, Isabel Gallagher, Nora Paicu and Masyn Harrex explained how to create a comfortable bed for the worms and gave the class a list of their favourite foods including banana peels, coffee grounds, apple cores, bread and torn-up paper. The Year 1 and 2 students were eager to learn and will no doubt make good use of their new farm.
