A strong performance from our Year 5-8 netball teams in 2017.

Year 5 / 6 Otago Primary Schools Netball Tournament 

On Tuesday 29 August our two Year 5/6 Netball teams competed in the Otago Primary Schools Netball Tournament held at the Edgar Centre.

Our Columba Black Netball Team followed up their successful season going unbeaten to make the final. They had a tight tussle with St Clair school in the first half, it was all tied up but had an awesome second half to win the tournament.

Otago Intermediate Schools Netball Tournament.

On Thursday 31 August our Year 8A & 7A Netball teams competed in the Otago Intermediate Netball Tournament held at the Edgar Centre. Our Year 8A team played really well and made the semi finals, unfortunately they came up against the very strong Balmacewen 8A team who were overall winners of this tournament and the follow up Otago Southland Challenge Tournament. 

 The 8A team bounced back well to win their final game to place third, which is a fantastic effort. They also played well in the Otago Southland Tournament finishing 5th. Thank you to Mrs Piebenga and Mrs Natalie Cowie for coaching the team. 

Our Year 7A team went well at the Otago Tournament unfortunately losing one game in their pool play to drop them out of the top 8. They managed to have a fun day winning the rest of their games to finish 9th.
