Young Enterprise Hive9

Hive9 —

We are into week five of term three already and things are heating up for Hive9. We have started making sales and we are almost already sold out. We have ordered another batch of Honey from Wrights and it is on it’s way to the producer. We will hopefully get this in the next couple of weeks. The support and reactions from our honey powder has been phenomenal and so many customers have come back asking for more.

Bruno Marsh (Sales) and Nakita Horne (Marketing) have been out visiting local cafes and they are very keen on our product. We can’t wait for you to see our product immersed in the cafe culture in the near future so we encourage you to keep looking out for that. Remember if you want to purchase some honey please message us on Facebook or Instagram and we will send some out your way.

We have more exciting things coming up for our dehydrated honey. Obviously in the next couple of weeks we will be expecting our second batch of honey powder which we are excited to get and start selling. We are also planning on having pop up stalls around Dunedin for a chance to sell more of our product so make sure to stay tuned on our social media pages to see dates and locations for these stalls.

Recipe of the Week : Honey Wafers (GS Foods)

Sprinkle an even layer of honey powder on a sheet of baking paper or tin foil- leave no gaps.

Put into a hot oven for 30 seconds to a minute. The powder will melt into little droplets.

While still hot take a wet knife and spread the melted powder over the paper.

It will harden almost immediately. It will peel off the paper easily.

Use pieces as decoration, crumble on top of desserts or ice-cream

Please let us know how you get on with these recipes we would love to hear from you and receive any feedback you have.
