As with last year, our efforts to organise this weekend were stymied somewhat by Covid restrictions.

We’d originally planned for the first weekend of September but were able to postpone until last weekend. Understandably, a number of families had to pull out with the change of date, so our original number of 87 dwindled to 45. Families organised their own accommodation and met on Coronet Peak at the start of each day. We were blessed with reasonable weather and good snow for this time of year. 

It was lovely to see the children all make great progress in their two-hour lessons each day and then to enjoy skiing or boarding with their friends and families, with all coming together for the lunch prepared by the cafeteria staff. 

Thanks go to Mrs Sally Choie for co-ordinating this weekend. Ms Wallis Xie will take over this role next year and hopefully it will be a case of third time lucky, with no Covid challenges.
