Mrs G Beardmore —

Congratulations to our 2023 Year 13 graduate and highly talented gymnast, Molly Ballard, on being named in the New Zealand Women's Artistic National Gymnastics Squad for 2024!

Columba College is thrilled to inform our community that Molly, our exceptionally talented gymnastics student, has been selected for the 2024 Women’s Artistic Gymnastics National Squad:

  • Molly Ballard – Dunedin Gymnastics Academy
  • Reece Cobb – Impact Gymsport Academy
  • Isabella Brett – Christchurch School of Gymnastics
  • Ava Fitzgerald – Tri Star Gymnastics
  • Maddy Marshall – NHG Gymnastics
  • Ava Baddley – Capital Gymnastics
  • Kiera Rolston-Larking – Capital Gymnastics
  • Grace Wellington – Tri Star Gymnastics
  • Jun MacDonald – Te Wero Gymnastics
  • Alisa Wada – Te Wero Gymnastics
  • Georgia-Rose Brown – Tri Star Gymnastics

Molly is the only gymnast in the team from the lower South Island, and we extend heartfelt congratulations to Molly on her selection. This was achieved through her top performances and results won in key local, regional, and national competitions over the past gymnastics season. Well done, Molly!

As part of the national squad, Molly will be invited to attend training sessions and camps with other squad athletes and coaches, and will be given the chance to attend lectures and other learning opportunities for both athletes and their coaches. We look forward to following Molly's career with great interest, now as an alumna of Columba College!
