Principal's Pinnacles

Rev C Nicol —

Kia ora tātau

Quad tournament was a highlight of the week and I am thrilled to report that we have retained the shield having tied for first place with Rangi and St Margaret's College. It was a joy to get out and see the hockey, badminton, football and netball as the weather was unseasonably good and the students involved played with skill and GRACE. You are a credit to us all thank you!

I popped into the kapa haka rehearsals over the weekend and was really impressed. Even though it was only their second practice with poi, they are already looking well drilled by Whaea Lizzie. We wish them all the best as they prepare for Polyfest.

There have been a number of staff and students off-site this week. We were well represented by our Juniors at the Hills cluster cross country - well done! By all accounts the Year 9's have had a wonderful time on Ski Camp. Over the past two days, the chaplains, board Presbytery rep and I have learnt a lot at the Presbyterian Church Schools Conference hosted by St Kentigerns and St. Cuthberts. Surprisingly, I was not the newest Principal! It was a pleasure to meet with other new principals: Nicole Billante (Iona), Amanda Gibbs (St Oran’s), Charlotte Avery (St Cuthbert's), Marianne Duston (St Kentigern Girls’ School) and I will look forward to meeting Tracey Herft (Rangi Ruru) next time.
