The Vision Hearing Technicians from Public Health South will be visiting Columba College on Thursday 12 March to screen all Year 7 students for distance vision.

Distance Vision (Amblyopia & Hyperopia) determines how well your child is able to see at a distance. It involves reading an eye chart. Please note this screening is not necessary if your child wears glasses or is currently under the care of an optometrist.

If you do not wish your child to be screened please email our Office Manager, Dawn Hope, (dhope@columbacollege.school.nz) clearly stating your child’s name and class as well as your name and preferably the reason for opting out.
