Once again Columba College sent a strong contingent of competitors to Lake Wanaka to compete in the Challenge Wanaka Secondary Schools Triathlon Competition.

New to this year's competition was an Intermediate division and so we were pleased that Melanie Button could also compete. Historically Columba College has performed very well in this competition and the 2019 event was no exception. Congratulations go to all of the competitors.

1st U14 Girls Individual - Catherine Lund

1st U19 Girls Team - Columba Senior - Zoe McCane (Swim), Sophie Gaudin (Bike), Megan Maslin (Run)

U14 Girls team: Columba Jnr B - Louisa Kotkamp, Emma Morton and Kayla Millar - 5th 

U14 Girls team: Columba Jnr A - Grace Darling, Madison Lobb and Brenna Lyons - 8th 

U16 Girls Individual - Caitlin O’Brien - 6th, Phoebe Ozanne - 9th 

We are all very proud of Melanie Button Yr 7 who came first in her Intermediate race. Melanie is a very promising athlete from Columba and we look forward to future fine performances from her.
