Congratulations to Columba College.

On Monday 5th July, the Mid-Season Debating Championships were held at the University of Otago Business School. It was a competitive event involving a wide range of secondary schools and 22 teams. 

After three consecutive wins, the Columba College team of Charlotte Werner (Year 13), Jody Syme (Year 13) and Sophie Bowmar (Year 12) made it to the final against John McGlashan College where they debated whether humans should make contact with, or interfere with with, the development of alien civilisations that are not also capable of interstellar travel. Columba College won the final making them the inaugural winners.
