That's a Wrap

Ms J Lach —

The Enviroclub prepares items to raise funds for environmental causes.

The Enviroclub made beeswax wraps in an effort to create products to sell at the end of the month to raise money for environmental charities. The club leaders have organised with other local schools and the Dunedin Enviroschools group to access the community stall at the Farmer’s Market. The group chose beeswax wraps to sell since they are a reusable alternative to single-use plastic wraps, the latter of which have been found washing up on our beaches and inside the stomachs of our local wildlife. We used recycled and second-hand cloth to create the wraps to further reduce waste.
