Year 7 enjoy an authentic Indian lunch together

Mrs Piebenga —

As part of our study of India in Social Studies, each of our classes got to enjoy the opportunity to have a shared Indian Lunch.

Over the past week, all of Year 7 went to an Indian restaurant called Zaika. The reason we went was in Social Studies, we are learning about India and Mrs Piebenga thought it would be a good idea if we tried some authentic Indian food.

All of our class loved the Indian food and had a great time at the restaurant. Our favourite food at the restaurant was butter chicken and naan bread with the majority of the girls ordering more.

Zaika was a very welcoming restaurant that made very delicious foods.

We tried a variety of dishes such as:

1. Butter chicken

2. Lamb korma

3. Mango chicken

We had a lovely snack on the side which was some slices of nice crispy Naan bread. We also had the chance to try a drink from India called a Mango Lassi. It was a yogurt smoothie. Most of the girls loved these. We had a great time and we all hope that our parents will be taking us out for dinner there sometime soon.
