Three Year 7 students, Sophie, Millie and Betty, have received a special mention in the youth section of the Escape the Vape! nation-wide poster competition. They created their entries while studying an English topic on the text and graphic features of posters.

The students' posters will be printed and featured as part of Tūhura Otago Museum's Te Mana o Te Hā – Smokefree Science Showcase. Te Mana o Te Hā will be a mobile, hands-on, exhibition that presents the facts and science behind smoking and vaping. It will tour schools and communities around the motu from late 2023 and into 2024. The winning posters can be viewed on the Great Kiwi Poster Competition website :
