Columba College recently travelled to Christchurch attend the annual school exchange between Columba, Craighead, St Hilda’s and St. Margaret’s in badminton, debating, hockey and netball.  

All events were keenly contested with tight scores.

Columba placed 1st in debating, 2nd in hockey and badminton and 3rd in netball. Overall Columba, St. Hilda’s and St. Margaret’s shared first equal placing on 12 points each the second year running, although in 2016 this was the first time it had happened in at least 20 years. The Columba MVP Awards went to Kelly Hoyt in badminton, Jaime Preston in hockey, Katherine Morris in netball and Lydia Christensen was the ‘Best Speaker’ in debating.
