While the Year 5 and 6 girls attended the 'Have a Go' sports day, the boys and a couple of girls had a 'Choose your own Adventure' literacy day at school.

We began the day by reading 'Pick a Path' and 'Twist a Plot' books before drafting our own adventure stories. We used a range of thinking charts to plan our ideas and map out the twists our stories might have. We presented our stories using Google Slides. We watched a tutorial on how to hyperlink so that as our readers made choices they would be taken to the correct slide. Groups worked collaboratively on their stories adding ideas and helping each other. We shared our finished stories with the class who enjoyed the plot twists and creative endings.
