On Monday morning we enjoyed a visit from one of our ex students, Max Smith, who now attends John McGlashon College. Max came to present us with a copy of his debut novel 'The Viking War'.

Max was a fantastic writer while at Columba and we are delighted to see his passion continue. The Year 6 class have read Max's book this week and enjoyed his strong characters and exciting plot. We paused many times to point out some of the wonderful language features Max had used in his writing. The class was inspired by his published book.

There is a copy of 'The Viking War' in our school library and a copy in Year 6. We highly recommend it!
