14 students from Columba competed in the Otago Beach Volleyball tournament held at Brighton Beach on Saturday 9th November.

The girls were divided into two teams in the 4’s and three teams in the pairs. All teams played well against very tough opposition. 

There were some fantastic results in the pairs with Briar Duncan and Hannah Cormack winning the Junior division.  In the senior girls, Olivia Bolwell and Isabelle Coe took gold medal, first place in the under 19 women.  All other juniors played outstandingly in teams of four against mostly boys teams from school through to university age groups. They had fun while improving their skills in preparation for the two upcoming indoor volleyball tournaments. Well done.

 All girls represented Columba with pride and showed great sportsmanship along with grace out on the beach.
