It's been a fantastic year of creativity and achievements in Drama this year. Drama is always high energy and bucketloads of flair and 2023 has been no different! In class, we've learned valuable skills and grown confidence and, beyond the classroom, ākonga have taken their passions further through opportunities presented by Sheila Winn Shakespeare, TheatreFest, and Mamma Mia!

Drama is one of those subjects that asks for a lot of extra effort and time but we always think it's worth it. A special thanks must go to our tireless staff supporters and helpers, Ms Andrew, Mrs Casbolt and Ms Cook, and to those students who go the extra mile - Tylah James and Monet Morrison. We must also acknowledge the many talents and generosity of Ms Pip Hosken who directed Mamma Mia! and worked to moderate our Level 1 assessments.

We are excited about all that 2024 will bring: Sheila Winn, NZ Theatrefest, school productions, the new Level 1 Drama curriculum, Columba College Drama Clubs, and going along to see live performances in Dunedin. All Drama students are encouraged to join the Arts Committee next year and help us to continue making drama at Cloumba bigger and better!
