Otago University Junior Mathematics Competition results announced
Otago University have announced the results of their Junior Mathematics Competition. We had many of our Years 9 and 10 students compete in this competition.
This competition was made up of TWO rounds. Outstanding performers in the first round were invited to compete in a second-round competition.
Participants who performed really well in the FIRST round, but were unsuccessful in getting through to the SECOND round were:
Jade, Enya, Lucy, Aisling, Srishti and Allena - all from Year 9.
Freya and Isla from Year 10.
In the SECOND round we had three students who were invited to take part - Beth and Erika from Year 10 and Chloe from Year 9. All three of these students competed very well, with Erika and Chloe receiving a Merit grade. Beth performed exceptionally well and received a distinction award.
Congratulations to all of the students who participated. Everyone gets a certificate and top students will receive these at assembly.
