In the 2020/21 season, Pyper became a New Zealand Rookie Champion, qualifying to ride in the Open grade. She is one of the youngest in the history of NZ Barrel Racing to break Open at only 15 years old.

With a season off due to Covid, she came back rearing to go this Season. Pyper had a consistent Christmas run placing at most rodeos and gaining her first Open win at the Te Anau Rodeo.

Pyper and her family spent 3 weeks in the North Island competing in January.

The season has now finished and Pyper is off to her first NFR (National Finals Rodeo).  She is the youngest to qualify for the NFR in Barrel Racing after placing in the top 8 in NZ to qualify.

National Finals Rodeo are being held at Outram this Saturday, the 4th March. We wish Pyper all the very best of luck as she competes with her horse Zsiska who has been with her since the day she was born.
