Year 12PE students imparted their expertise to our Year 4, 5 and 6 students with great success!

Over the last four weeks, Year 4, 5 and 6 students from the Junior school participated in five coaching sessions led by the Year 12 Physical Education students. The Junior school students worked hard in small groups with two student coaches to improve their key skills in a sport. The Year 12 students had to plan out each session and focussed on improving their communication and management skills to help the students see success in their chosen activity. It was fantastic to see the energy and enthusiasm the junior school students consistently brought to each session and how quickly they improved. The Year 12 students worked hard to make the sessions fun and learnt how to be more effective leaders. They did a fantastic job coaching and demonstrated outstanding organisation and patience. In the final session students played a mini tournament against another group to showcase what they had learnt. I would like to thank the Junior school teachers for being incredibly flexible, fitting in with our class and supporting the Year 12 students during each session.
