Welcome to our new International students

Ms L Stirling —

This term we are happy to welcome four new international students to Columba College.

With borders being firmly shut to international students entering the country for over two years, we were excited to apply for these four students to come to New Zealand as a part of a special Ministry of Education cohort. All of the girls have started to settle into life in New Zealand, their studies and making friends.

Jeanne Liu – Jeanne is a year 11 student who has been learning online for the past 18 months. Jeanne is from Tianjin in China. Jeanne is looking forward to being in class with her teachers and classmates.

Pat Arounsakul – Pat is a year 11 student who has been learning online for the past two years. Pat is from Chiangmai in Thailand. Pat is looking forward to experiencing a warm and colour spring in Dunedin.

Vanda Chungcharoen – Vanda is a year 10 student who was studying in a Thai high school. Vanda is from Bangkok in Thailand. Vanda is looking forward to reconnecting with her brother who arrived in Dunedin just before the borders closed in 2020.

Oil Pathchotinont – Oil is a year 10 student who was studying in a Thai middle school. Oil is from Nontaburi in Thailand. Oil is looking forward to going to Queenstown and snowboarding for the first time.
