Year 13 Camp

Ms Riethmaier —

Year 13 students have long borne a grudge that they had no camp in Year 8 nor in Year 10.

Finally the score was settled when they were allowed to camp around the Year 13 House on Tuesday 3 November, turning the surrounding lawn into what looked more like a refugee camp, apart from copious Domino’s boxes. The last of the Life Skills budget was spent on providing a communal breakfast for the girls as they staggered out of their tents to get ready for their Careers Dress Up Day. We are very grateful to Mr Damian Black of Allied Security for donating the services of two lots of three security guards to guard against potential intruders.

The Year 13 students also had a day dressing up as staff members - they made really good impersonators.

On a smaller scale, the Years 12 and 13 German classes also felt aggrieved that Covid had forced the cancellation of the annual German Camp. Mr and Mrs Nock of “Wolf at the Door” treated them to delicious German cakes to compensate, also on 3 November. Danke schön Herr und Frau Nock!!
