On Friday 8 February our Year 9 students and their Form Teachers and I took part in their Orientation Outing.

Bussing first of all to the Salt Water Pool, where most swam while a few walked along St Clair Beach. We then spent time in the Chinese Garden, followed by a walk up to the Asian Restaurant. The food kept on coming with amazing efficiency, but despite being so well fed, most girls still had room for popcorn and snacks when we went next door to the Rialto to watch “Storm Boy”. This had some quite sad parts, which were accompanied by quite loud wailing from the girls. After we’d all dried our eyes, it was time for the long walk up Stuart street in the heat, but the girls took this in their stride. 

 All in all, it was a lovely chance for the girls to spend time together away from school and we, the staff, were very impressed with what a thoroughly pleasant, thoughtful and courteous group they are.
