It was a beautiful day down at the track on Tuesday for the annual North Zone Athletics Championships. Columba had 25 students take part from Years 4-8 with extremely pleasing results!

Those who placed highly in their age group will be selected to compete at the Otago Championship Event held on 15th November. More information will follow once we have confirmed results, however, the 1st Place achievers were:

• 1st Place U13 Girls Long Jump - Harlow La Hood
• 1st Place U12 Girls 75m Sprint - Isabella van Aart
• 1st Place U13 Girls 75m Sprint - Harlow La Hood
• 1st Place U12 200m Relay - Isabella van Aart, Sophie Wellington, Holly Weatherall and Madison Bryce
• 1st Place Year 5/6 Girls 800m - Poppy Hussey
• 1st Place Year 5/6 Boys 800m - Samuel Riley
