Cross-Country
Cross-Country at Columba is a sport that many girls love being part of.
With both serious and fun events on offer, Columba really does put their name out there with impressive results at the five local events. Events are held in Milton, Caversham and across Dunedin. One of the main reasons these events are fun is because we are put into teams of four, made up of all different girls from different age groups, and therefore new friendships are made. Columba also competes in two individual races, the Otago Cross Country and the Logan Park Road Race. While still fun, these events are a little more competitive. This year we also had three girls compete in the New Zealand Secondary School’s Cross Country Championships held in Timaru and had much success doing so. Cross Country at Columba College has been very successful and lots of fun memories have been made. It is a sport that is growing in popularity and we look ahead with much anticipation to see what results can be achieved in the years to come.
