Columba College had three teams playing in the finals for handball this week. A great way to end another successful term of handball for our Columba College.

Our Senior A team played exceptionally well in the Girls A final against Kavanagh College with a convincing 11-5 win. Our girls were exceptional on defence, closing off options and shots at goal from very strong opposition. On attack, we were also able to create several more opportunities than our opponents to score on attack. The team has improved a lot since last year and should be good to watch next season. 

Well done to our Senior Social Team, who managed to come a respectable 4th in the Girls A grade, losing 11-4 to Logan Park. This was their first season for all of our Year 11s. The game was very close, with our girls actually having more attempts at goal than the opposition. 

2021 was also the first season for our Junior Social Team, who also came away with a 4th place in the 'Mixed Social Grade'. They are to be commended on the persistence they showed while they played against some experienced female and male opposition. Well done to all our Columba College handball players this term. We hope to see you all back again in Term 4, along with any interested new players. A great game to be involved in!
