Higher Honours for Cricket

Mrs G Beardmore —

Columba College is immensely proud of the talent emerging in our young cricket players, and the successes that are continuing to be achieved by our athletes.

A number of exciting selections were recently announced for Otago cricket elite training squads;

Louisa Kotkamp and Grace Walding have been selected to join Emily Brosnahan and Angelique Peyroux in the Otago cricket identified players squad (Cricket Otago = everywhere south of the Waitaki).

This squad is made up of a small group of players who are considered capable of playing first class (provincial) cricket. A fabulous feather in the caps of these rising cricket stars.

A special mention to Harriett Cuttance who has been selected in the “Sparks” (Otago Women’s Elite Team) training squad. Yet another impressive achievement for our talented Sports Prefect. We continue to be very proud of all Harriett's sporting achievements.

Columba College extends a huge congratulations to Louisa, Grace, Emily, Angelique and Harriett, who will all begin training in their new squads next term. Well done girls!
