International Day of Women in Science

Mr B Duckett —

As part of the celebration of the International Day of Women in Science, the Otago Museum ran a Reverse Science Fair.

So, instead of students displaying their research for quizzical scientists, the tables were turned and the students asked the questions.

There were representatives of different departments from the university, as well as local science based companies such as Fisher and Paykel.

12 students from the Senior School attended and spent time talking with women who use science as part of their jobs in the ‘real world’.
