Week 10 had a festive feel to it in Languages classes. A highlight was the Y8 Christmas Carolling where we sang in all of the four languages taught at Columba.

The Year 8s did three rotations on Tuesday, one of them being Christmas Carolling with the Languages staff. We learnt songs in French, German, Chinese and te Reo Māori. After learning a song of choice ('We Wish You a Merry Christmas' was most popular) in different languages, we then sang it to various people around the College. A highlight was visiting the Junior School. We knocked on their doors and asked to come in and then carolled merrily. We would always finish by asking our audience to join in with us in English.
