On a balmy Dunedin day last Friday 1st September, eleven Columba College students across Years 5 - 8 assembled on the grounds at Kaikorai Valley College for the annual OPSSA Otago Cross Country Champs. A stellar day with some super running performances witnessed by the large number of spectators who had gathered to support Otago's up-and-coming running champs!

A big event for our dedicated group of young runners, the Otago Primary Schools Cross Country is always popular for athletes and supporters across the Otago region. The weather Gods delivered with overcast and very mild conditions, and the scene was set for another afternoon of entertaining and exciting races. 

We are extremely proud of all the Columba students who participated in this event, overcame their pre-race nerves, and performed exceptionally well within a very large and strong field of participants. A full list of results are attached below, however we congratulate our Columba stars who all achieved amazing race times on a very muggy and warm afternoon!
