Mrs S O'Malley —

Over the past couple of weeks Year 3 has had lots of discussion in our KiVa sessions around differences in people and what makes us unique and special.

The students have talked about and understood that all kinds of people are needed (diversity is valuable and it makes life more fun). They have thought about the positive characteristics there are in other people, and also in themselves.

The children designed a handprint that was special to them and that showed off their different personalities, their family and their traditions. We then displayed the handprints in a class flower, surrounded by quotes written by the children that explains why they are special and unique. You will find our wonderful display proudly presented on our classroom wall.
