Columba leading the way with some quality athletics results on a beautiful summer day.

On Tuesday 3rd November, a group of Columba College Year 5 - 8 students attended the North Zone Athletics Champs at the Caledonian. The day dawned warm and sunny, and our athletes performed outstandingly. We had a number of students who won their events, and as a result have qualified for Otago Champs.

Particular mention needs to go to the following students who won their respective events;

• Charli Sinclair: O13 Shot Put, Discus and 800m
• Madison Flutey: O13 100m Sprint
• Delilah Brown: U12 Discus and High Jump
• Ciara Paterson: U13 Shot Put and Discus
• Harlow La Hood: U11 Long Jump and 75m Sprint

We are also extremely proud of the results achieved by the following students, who have also qualified for Otago Champs with their podium placings or finals appearances on Tuesday:

The Sports Department, supporting staff, and parents attending the athletics day were extremely proud of the effort put in by all students, and especially the behaviour seen throughout the day. 

We wish all those attending the Otago Athletics Championships on 17th November the very best of luck. We know you will perform with determination and passion, and will be fine representatives for our school. We are immensely proud of you all!
