Netball at Columba College has continued to grow in strength over recent years, with 2019 proving to be one of the most successful seasons to date.

Currently, we have 12 netball teams registered in the local Saturday netball competition, nine competitive teams and three social teams, which is truly representative of the popularity of netball within our school. Earlier this term Columba netball teams produced some amazing results at the Otago Secondary School Championships, held in Dunedin from the 9-10th of June. The Senior A team finished first place, ending their four-year streak of second place, the 9A team finished an impressive second place and the 10A narrowly lost their semi-final by only two goals, finishing third overall. Our top senior, intermediate and junior teams continue to train hard throughout the season as they set their sights on the South Island Secondary Schools Netball Championships, held annually at different locations throughout the South Island. This year we were lucky enough to get new netball uniforms for all teams ensuring we look super smart on competition days!
