Social Studies enjoy shared Indian lunch

Mrs L Piebenga —

Our Year 7 classes have enjoyed a shared Indian lunch to complement their India study and finish off their year.

Our Year 7 Social Studies classes have been enjoying learning about life in India. This unit has given our students insight into the different cultures, cultural practices and an appreciation of the challenges that are faced by many living if difficult circumstances in India.

Together, we enjoyed two lovely Indian dishes, Butter Chicken and Tarka Dhal, complemented with naan bread and rice.  It was great to see so many girls trying both dishes and exploring the different taste sensations.
