After School Care (ASC) is still running during Alert Level 2.

We have a full safety plan in place and the key points are summarised below:

• Places are limited to 20 and need to be booked 24 hours in advance by emailing dhope@columbacollege.school.nz  We are sorry but we will not be able to accept “drop-ins”.
• Students need to bring their own afternoon tea and drink and they do get hungry.
• Students will be given their own inside space which they will use whenever in ASC.
• Students will be able to use the playground but must thoroughly wash their hands for 20 seconds before and after playing in it.
• Good hygiene practices will be reinforced: sneezing into their elbows, maintaining a physical distance and using hand sanitiser.
• Students cannot come to ASC even if they are slightly unwell. Any students who present as unwell will need to be collected immediately.
• All equipment and surfaces will be thoroughly cleaned after each ASC session/daily.
• The Pick-up Zone is through the Tyne St gate (back gate). Using this gate maintains clear sight lines to ensure safe pick up but means you do not enter the site and do not need to sign the Contact Tracing Register.
• If you do come onto the site, you sign the Contact Tracing Register with the supervisor and maintain 2m physical distancing.
• The normal fees and opening times remain: 3pm – 5.30pm.

We want your child to be as safe as possible at this time. We will be reviewing our processes regularly to ensure we are providing the best service we can.
