Civics education incorporated into the English Curriculum.

Earlier this month, City Councillor Aaron Hawkins took time from his hectic schedule to talk to the Year 11 English classes in preparation for their formal writing internal. Cr. Hawkins discussed a raft of local issues (including the hospital rebuild, erosion at St. Clair, and how young people can engage more effectively in local body politics), with a view to getting the students to think critically about how such issues impact them. 

We are most grateful to Cr. Hawkins for giving up his time, and helping engage Columba College students in issues directly affecting them.
