On Saturday, 25th March, Columba had two teams compete in the Jr Young Farmer of the Year Regional Final for Otago/Southland.

The teams of two competed in a variety of short modules which included fire safety, how to minimise leaching and environmental impact from farming, and fencing. 

Both teams had a successful day. Sarah and Lucy really enjoyed the tasks and watching the experienced team of Zoe and Millar.

After an intense buzzer round, Zoe and her brother Millar, who attends John McGlashan College, took out the title. From here, the pair will proceed to the Grand Final in July, where they have a shot to take out the national title.
