Another fantastic team sport on offer at Columba College is Cricket.

Our team trains weekly, with a focus on skill level development, and plays in the local Secondary School competition which is a T20 format. Every season, Columba Cricket keeps improving as the girls achieve higher levels and new skills. A number of Columba College cricket members have gained representative selection which provides an opportunity to play games in other districts. Our team is hugely grateful for the time and effort put in by parents and coaches, and trust they got as much of a thrill watching us play, as we did from playing in the final of the Otago NZ Cricket National Qualification on the University Oval. To walk out on a first class cricket ground and play on an International pitch was an unforgettable experience. Achieving second place overall in the Otago Secondary Schools Cricket Competition for 2019 was an impressive result for our school. Girls cricket in Dunedin is well supported by Otago Cricket with many training programs being offered throughout school holidays and winter for the girls.
