Otago Touch Honours
Congratulations to all players for their achievements throughout the season and a huge well done to those who received top honours within their team!
This season Columba College had 18 Otago representative players across four different age grades. They compete at the Te Waipounamu Tournament with four other provinces across the South Island (Nelson, Marlborough, Canterbury and Southland).
Unfortunately, due to the current nature of our environment, the Junior Nationals were cancelled earlier, however, all under U18 and U16 players have been invited to trial for their respective NZ age group squads at the regional trial held in early June. We wish you all the best! Columba is incredibly proud of your efforts during a very uncertain and disrupted season.

Due to a Sport NZ directive surrounding fun and inclusion, this age group was playing for participation and improvement in replace of competition. However, this team were undefeated in six games, drawing twice with their Cantabrian rivals and finishing at the top of the table.

Coached by ex-student Meg Sycamore
Beaten by Canterbury 7-6 in an extra-time drop-off, this team had a much-improved performance from their pool game, going down 6-2 to narrowly claim 2nd place in a thriller final.
Each team names three awards for the prizegiving each year and we are proud to announce there were a number of Columba names popping up to receive these honours.
