Talented Trio in Taekwondo

Miss D Turnbull —

Hardwork, discipline and focus - all skills these students have mastered in their passion for martial arts.

Hearty congratulations to Year 10 student Kede (Caroline) Wei, Yong Yi (Cecilia) Jia, and Year 4 student Ethan Zhou, for their tremendous success at the recent Hyeon Mu Taekwondo competition in Christchurch. 

Hyeon Mu Taekwondo tournament is a hyper-competitive Taekwondo tournament in New Zealand. The event is open to all Martial clubs all over the country. In 2020, there were 27 clubs from 16 different cities and towns attend this tournament, including 528 individual entries.

Caroline won a silver medal in Colourbelt Individual Poomsae Competition. 

Cecilia won a gold medal in Colourbelt Individual Poomsae Competition, and a gold medal in Colourbelt Team Poomsae Competition.

Ethan won a silver medal in Colourbelt Individual Poomsae Competition, a gold medal in Colourbelt Pair Poomsae Competition, and a silver medal in Kyorugi (Sparring) Competition.
