Dunedin itself is an attractive harbourside city with a population base of over 114,000. Surrounded by an array of beaches and rural farms, Dunedin is home to not only New Zealand’s oldest university, the University of Otago, but also a vibrant art and cultural scene, high performance sport and a strong IT and innovation community. It has also earned the reputation as New Zealand’s wildlife capital, the Otago Peninsula is home to New Zealand fur seals & sea lions, yellow-eyed penguins, and the world’s only mainland royal albatross colony.
