On Sunday the 14th of May, our Columba College Trap Shooting team, Laura and Kate (both year 12 students), competed in the Southland Intercollegiate.

With some terrible weather conditions, these girls shot admiringly representing Columba with pride. 

Laura shot 13/20 in single rise, 53/60 in point score and 7/10 in single barrel, resulting in first place in point score in the ladies' section. 

Kate shot 20/20 in single rise, 44/60 in point score and 8/10 in single barrel. Gaining a spot in the High Overall Shoot off for single rise, competing against five other shooters (both girls and boys) from multiple different schools, resulting in first-place placing. 

Together Laura and Kate won the ladies' point score team event. The girls adapted very well to the conditions and they were delighted with their results.
